**Job Description**
The Insulator will be responsible for applying insulation materials to pipes, ducts, and other surfaces in industrial settings. Key areas of focus include ensuring proper installation and adherence to technical specifications, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with other team members to complete projects efficiently. Daily responsibilities include measuring and cutting insulation materials, applying insulation, and inspecting completed work for quality assurance.
**Responsibilities**
+ Apply insulation materials to pipes, ducts, and other surfaces in industrial settings.
+ Ensure proper installation and adherence to technical specifications.
+ Maintain safety standards and collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
+ Measure and cut insulation materials as needed for installations.
+ Inspect completed work for quality assurance.
+ Remove and reinstall hull and pipe insulation for repairs to ships and boats in the U.S. Navy, U.S Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command (MSC), and commercial vessels.
+ Complete and execute assigned work tasks following regulatory specifications assigned to the vessel.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in lagging and insulation within industrial settings.
+ Proficient in applying insulation materials to pipes, ducts, and other surfaces.
+ Knowledge of various insulation materials and techniques, including fiberglass, foam, and mineral wool.
+ Ability to select appropriate materials based on project requirements.
+ Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
+ Experience in measuring, cutting, and applying insulation materials to pipes, ductwork, walls, ceilings, and other structures.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
