Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in medical billing and a passion for patient care? We're seeking a dedicated Reception & Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in a dynamic role that combines front desk responsibilities with billing operations. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate closely with both clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient experiences.

This role is currently remote as our practice operates via a telehealth platform. However, it may transition to an in-person setting at a later date.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients by answering incoming calls related to scheduling, billing, and medication refills.
Promptly return voicemails and follow up with patients regarding their inquiries.
Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) to verify appointment details, medication refill statuses, and patient demographics.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address billing-related matters.
Process and complete daily billing for patient visits.
Generate and review billing reports within the EMR system.
Facilitate the export of medical documentation to external providers involved in patient care (e.g., specialists in dermatology, gastroenterology, etc.).
Utilize Excel and Google Docs for workflow tracking and reporting.
Handle administrative tasks such as printing, scanning, copying, and mailing documents as needed.
Who You Are:
Experienced in medical billing with a strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes.
Comfortable interacting with patients both over the phone and electronically to assist with scheduling, billing inquiries, and medication refill coordination.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing patient follow-ups efficiently.
Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, Microsoft Excel, and Google Docs.
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Schedule & Work Environment:
Full-time position with a combination of billing and reception duties.
Currently remote, with a potential transition to in-person work in the future.
